If you’ve read my “about me” section, then you know that I’ve lost about 100 pounds in the last two years. I have gained and lost a significant amount of weight many times during my life and I am determined that this will be the last! I have noticed a few pounds making their way back home in my belly (where else?). One of the things that really worked for me for my weight loss was the accountability of weekly weigh-ins at Weight Watchers. I’d like to try that with my blog here, so my stats are below and I’ll create an “weigh-in” page to update them weekly.
I’m also going to change my workout habits–I have been enjoying focusing on long distance runs and really increasing my endurance but I thinnk my body is getting used to burning calories at a steady paced run. I also have been largely ignoring my strength training workouts as the running seems to take a lot out of me. I’m going back to 60% strength training and shorter, more varied cardio work outs.
Oh, yeah, and I’m going to try to kick my dessert addiction too.

I just knew this was the day to go for it! Had good time, despite the fact that I had to walk for about a minute to get rid of a stitch. Time to set a new goal….

just three miles tonight but pushed to five because I really wanted to hit the 200 mile mark. I still feel a little sore from my 9 mile run on Sunday. I want to keep running a positive and fun thing for me, not something I dread and make myself do.
